CEO of Christianity Today Timothy Dalrymple Pens Importance Of Placement of Faith
We too agree that on this side of Calvary true prophets of God must place their faith on the finished work of Jesus Christ crucified. Why?
Because it is noted biblically that those who did are written as truth, confirmed as love remembered as fact that what The Lord Almighty revealed to them they spoke it without trepidation. How did they manage this?
As in the past their focus is not on the temporal but the eternal. What they saw was not the truth nor was what they experienced. It was where they placed their faith. As today it has to be in the completed work of Jesus Christ crucified.
The pierced messiah, the hope of the future for all mankind revealed to them by God was their faith. It was eternal truth, affirmed, re-affirmed and confirmed in so many ways that this little thought site can certainly not contain it all.
What we agree with the CEO of Christianity Today is that it is a re-occurring theme that many in the church is seriously putting at the top of the list. Why?
To discern the deceptive times we are living in. These perilous times where men and women are lovers of themselves: Pride. One of the original sins from the garden of Eden that dares to testify that they fear God when in fact they fear man. What a morass.
Christianity Today is correct. We can only add true liberty begins with the Fear of the Lord.
